An extract from "Through Airedale from Goole to Malham" 
by Johnnie Gray (1891).  Two Kildwick grave inscriptions, with very different sentiments.  Mark the concentrated goodness implied in this lament of a dearly-beloved spouse: "She was, but I forbear to tell you what. Think what a wife should be and she was that." Very different from the following, observed elsewhere: "Here lies my wife, poor Molly, let her lie. She finds repose at last, and so do I."
